Heat Pump Group Buy The City of Louisville is excited to share an upcoming opportunity through Switch Together, a group purchasing program offered in partnership with the nonprofit Solar United Neighbors, to support Boulder County homeowners make the switch to heat pumps. By purchasing as a group, participants will receive discounted pricing compared to typical market rate heat pump installations. You can register with no obligation to make a purchase. Contractors bid to determine the final group discount, and then you're sent a personal offer based on your registration info. Then, you decide if you want to accept the offer.  You know what's chic? A brown lawnIt’s no secret—we’re in a drought. While we’re hopeful for more moisture in the weeks ahead, we’re continuing to closely monitor our water supply. Throughout the season, we’ve encouraged residents and businesses to conserve water and limit lawn watering to no more than two evenings per week. Louisville has really stepped it up on saving water this season, and it shows! We're proud of those brown lawns, and you should be too. We are working on improved processes for reporting water waste throughout the City, and will provide some updates soon. In the meantime, continue saving water where you can. Every drop counts. We also encourage you to replace your turf with a waterwise garden for long-term water savings. For spring 2027, we encourage you to sign up for Resource Central's lawn replacement program interest list. |

NEW Efficiency and Pre-Approved Equipment Grants for businessesThe Colorado Green Business Network has launched two new grant opportunities. These grants are intended to support businesses across the state of all sectors and sizes by funding equipment and projects that save businesses money, reduce the use of natural resources, enhance operational efficiency, and protect public health. - Efficiency Grant - aims to fund and promote custom projects that increase energy, fuel, and water efficiency. Grantees can select the projects that uniquely fit their needs and sustainability goals, so there is no specific list of the kinds of projects eligible - as long as they save energy, fuel and/or water.  Louisville Hard to Recycle Voucher ReminderHave you participated in the Louisville Hard to Recycle Voucher Program and claimed a voucher? If not, now is a great time to properly dispose of those hard-to-recycle items. This voucher can be used for materials that are not accepted through regular curbside services. Please note that all claimed vouchers must be used by December 31, 2026. If you no longer need your voucher, please let us know as soon as possible. Due to limited supply, other residents may be waiting for an available voucher. Please contact the Louisville Sustainability Team at Sustainability@LouisvilleCO.gov to let us know. If you still intend to use your voucher, please see the information below: This voucher is a one-time use, $25 voucher for 2026 to Louisville residents to help cover the cost of recycling hard-to-recycle items at Eco-Cycle CHaRM (6400 Arapahoe Road, Boulder).
