Electrification: the basics for your business |
|
Electrification might sound like a big technical term, but the idea is simple. It’s the process of replacing gas-powered equipment with clean, electric options. This helps reduce pollution and often lowers your energy costs.
Some of the benefits of electrification include: - Lower fuel and maintenance costs
- Safer, healthier, and more comfortable spaces without harmful gases
- More efficient, high-performing, and future-forward equipment
- Lower greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution
What this looks like depends on your business. Restaurants might switch to electric cooking equipment like combi ovens or induction cooktops. Mobile businesses can replace gas generators with battery systems. Building owners can upgrade to electric or hybrid HVAC and hot water systems. Fleet owners can start transitioning to electric vehicles.
PACE makes it easier to get started with electrification. Our advisors provide free, expert guidance and can connect you with trusted contractors, equipment options, and available rebates. We can also help you stack incentives from local utilities and the State of Colorado to lower project costs even more!

Extra rebates for nonprofits and equity priority buildings |
|
Did you know PACE offers higher rebates for some nonprofits and equity priority buildings? These rebates can cover up to 75% of project costs and have higher annual limits than standard rebates.
Your building may qualify if it houses an organization that serves frontline community members: people who are more affected by climate change due to factors like income, language, age, disability, and more. This can include affordable housing and other community-serving spaces. Check out our website for a list of eligible organizations. A PACE advisor can help you figure out if you're eligible and connect you with the best rebates and other incentives to lower your project costs. Protect Our Waterways During Spring Cleaning |
|
Keeping outdoor areas free of trash and debris helps protect our waterways. When stormwater flows across parking lots and streets, it picks up pollutants and sends them into storm drains. When you’re cleaning up for the spring season, make sure to:
- Sweep and pick up all outdoor areas (dumpster, break area, patios, parking lot).
- Keep lids closed on dumpsters and recycling containers and contain liquids before placing in the trash.
- If using soap and water, collect all water that contains soap and dispose of it inside.
