stage 1 fire restrictions allowed vs. not allowed

Fire danger is high, be smart and follow restrictions

With so many new wildfires across Colorado in the past few weeks, we urge you to carefully follow fire restrictions in Louisville and across the state. Just last week, a small brush fire popped up right outside of Louisville. It was quickly extinguished thanks to our dedicated first responders. This serves as a reminder that it takes collaboration between fire responders, local governments, and community members to prevent and prepare for these fires.

Do your part to prevent a wildfire. Louisville is in Stage 1 Fire Restrictions. Avoid any activities that could spark a wildfire. This also means no campfires outside of established fire rings and no recreational shooting or charcoal/pellet grills on public lands. Fireworks of any kind are never permitted in Louisville.

It's also a good time to check on your BOCO Alert account. If you haven't signed up, do it now! If you are signed up, make sure your contact info is up to date so you can get emergency alerts in the event of a wildfire. Visit BoulderODM.gov for wildfire preparedness resources specific to Boulder County.

Protect our firefighters and other first responders. Protect Boulder County. Know the rules. Stay prepared. Follow the restrictions.
