Here's a preview of what Council will be discussing this week:
A joint meeting with the Recreation Advisory Board to discuss alignment of Council and board's work plans, provide direction, and discuss items of mutual interest.
A resolution increasing utility rates, effective May 1, in the amount of 10% for water, 18% for wastewater, and 13% for stormwater.
Discussion/direction on potential 2026 ballot questions related to the following: • Historic Preservation Tax Extension • City Charter Amendments • Local Marketing District Tax
City Council considers written and oral comments equally. Email comments to Council received by 3 p.m. the date of the meeting will be included in the Council addendum and provided to each council member prior to the meeting. If you prefer to address Council in person, you may attend the meeting either in person or virtually.

City Council opts not to purchase 101 S. Taylor property
At their April 21 meeting, the Louisville City Council voted to discontinue exploring the purchase of 101 South Taylor Avenue after reviewing and discussing the purchase’s fiscal impact.
Input collected during the community engagement window will still be valuable for City Council and staff as we think about future space needs. An overview and key insights from input collected will be available on the project website in the coming weeks.
