Louisville City Council exploring purchase of building, property; seeks community input before closing

Louisville City Council has entered into an agreement for the purchase of 101. South Taylor Avenue, a 56,000 square foot building and 7.96 acre property in the Colorado Tech Center.

The purchase agreement, approved by City Council on March 3, includes a due diligence period. During this time, the City is gathering input from the community before Council decides whether to complete the purchase.

We need your help! City Council would like to understand the community's thoughts on the purchase so they can make an informed decision before the due diligence period closes and purchase is finalized.

A survey and other opportunities to engage are coming soon.

Frequently asked questions

In the meantime, we know you have a lot of questions, like:

  • What will this property be used for, if purchased?
  • How will this purchase be paid for?
  • How did this opportunity come about and why is City Council interested in purchasing this property?

How to share your thoughts

Stay tuned for more updates on how to share your thoughts. There will be multiple ways to engage available in the next few weeks:

  1. Attend an open house. The City is hosting two community open houses at the property. The community will get an opportunity to tour the building, learn more, ask questions, and submit feedback. Stop by at either open house at 101 S. Taylor Ave.
    • Saturday, April 11 | 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
    • Wednesday, April 22 | 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  2. Respond to the general survey (opening late March).

  3. Respond to the representative polling, if contacted (opening late March). The City has contracted with a professional polling company to conduct representative polling. Select community members will receive a text message with an invite to participate in the representative survey.

  4. Ask questions and submit comments via EngageLouisvilleCO.org project page.
