Hi Louisville Businesses, 

We wanted to reach out to let our businesses know that as of January 1, 2026 a majority of Louisville is now located within the North Metro Enterprise Zone.

In designated enterprise zones:

• Businesses are eligible for state income tax credits and sales and use tax exemptions for specific business investments.
• Local governments and nonprofits can set up contribution projects to achieve economic development goals.
• Taxpayers who contribute to enterprise zone projects may earn income tax credits.

Businesses must pre-certify in order to take advantage of the credits available through the program. While a majority of Louisville is now located within the zone, there are small portions that were not eligible for inclusion.
