Commercial Sustainability Rebate deadline extended

The City of Louisville’s Commercial Sustainability Rebate (CSR) is still available to all Louisville businesses. We have decided to extend the deadline to apply for this rebate until Friday, August 7, 2026.  

If you are a Louisville business, have a sustainability-oriented project, and need some funding to make it happen, consider the Commercial Sustainability Rebate.  

The program is designed to support business-led investments in waste reduction, energy efficiency, decarbonization, water conservation, and circular economy initiatives while ensuring fairness, administrative efficiency, and measurable environmental outcomes. Proposed projects will be reviewed with a lens enhancing sustainability, preventing or diverting waste, and increasing environmental stewardship. 

A total of 10 competitive rebate offerings is available: 

• Five $1,000 rebates
• Three $5,000 rebates
• Two $10,000 rebates 

Application timeline 

• March 2, 2026: Application opens
• August 7, 2026: Application closes
• August 10–14, 2026: Review of applications
• August 17, 2026: Awards made and awardees notified
