Commercial Sustainability Rebate Program Information Available

The Louisville Commercial Sustainability Rebate is going live! 

The restructured program creates a single competitive rebate offering for applicants, based on project and sustainable impact.

The program is designed to support business-led investments in waste reduction, energy efficiency, decarbonization, water conservation, and circular economy initiatives while ensuring fairness, administrative efficiency, and measurable environmental outcomes. Proposed projects will be reviewed with a lens enhancing sustainability, preventing or diverting waste, and increasing environmental stewardship.  

A total of 10 competitive rebate offerings will be available each year: 

• Five $1,000 rebates
• Three $5,000 rebates 
• Two $10,000 rebates 

Program and Application Timeline

• March 2, 2026: Application opens
• May 1, 2026: Application closes
• May 4–15, 2026: Review of applications
• May 18, 2026: Awards made and awardees notified
