Fire Station Block Party

Sunday, June 14 | 2  5 p.m. | Louisville Fire Station 1, 1240 Main St.

Save the date! Louisville's Fire Station Block Party is back for its 5th year with some exciting new additions.

For the first time ever, the Fire Station Block Party will feature a Foam Party! Get ready to play and dance in a mountain of bubbly suds starting at 3 p.m. Open to all ages!

The Louisville Chamber of Commerce will also be hosting the first ever Block Party Beer Garden with local brews to pair with your food truck treats.

We are also bringing back all of the favorites, including live music, the famous arcade bus, and caricature artists. Attendance and participation in these amazing summertime activities is all free and open to the public!

Congratulations to our 2026 Arts Grants Recipients!

The Cultural Advisory Board is excited to announce five new Arts Grants projects that will be taking place over the next year! Congratulations to the five local artists/organizers who will be bringing exciting new cultural programming to Louisville over the next months! 

Check out the following projects and add them to your calendar:

  • Big Heart Film: We can't wait to see Big Heart Film's perspective on life-long friendships in Louisville in their upcoming short documentary!
  • Motus Theater: Save the date on December 5 for Motus' Playback performance focused on the Voice of Louisville.
  • Self-Care Serenades: Feeling a little tender and exhausted these days? Sign up for one of four Self-Care Serenade sessions for some meditative healing.
  • Nosilla Dance Project: Save the date on June 20 for a powerful dance performance at the Louisville Arts Center.
  • Louisville Colorado Tiny Gallery: Keep your eyes peeled! A new tiny gallery installation will be popping up in downtown Louisville.

Welcome, Maggie!

Louisville's Arts & Events Division is so excited to welcome Maggie Sava, our new Special Events Coordinator!

Maggie was born and raised in Colorado and has always loved public art and events. She earned a bachelor’s degree in art history from the University of Denver and a master’s degree in contemporary art theory from Goldsmiths, University of London. Her professional career has centered on community-focused work, and she loves planning and supporting public events and celebrations that bring neighbors together.

2026 Spring Art Show

Members of the Louisville Art Association are showcasing their finest work in this year’s exhibition, judged by the talented John Taft. Come experience an inspiring collection of artwork — and don’t forget to cast your vote for the People’s Choice Award!

All of the pieces on display are available for purchase, so you just might find the perfect piece to take home.

Coal Creek Gallery: Astronaut of the Self

Friday, May 1 | 5 – 7 p.m.
Louisville Public Library

The Louisville Public Library's Coal Creek Gallery will open its May exhibit on First Friday! We are thrilled to be hosting Teresa Anne Volgenau's Astronaut of the Self exhibit for the months of May and June. 

Stop by the opening reception to meet the artist and explore the realms of inner and outer space. We will also have crafts, refreshments, and live music by Kid Astronaut.

Get to know your neighbor at the Louisville Spring Get Together  a City-sponsored community event organized by Neighbors Connect. The afternoon will feature activities and exhibitors designed to help you meet your neighbors and share resources, information and ideas. You won't want to miss it!
