Your guide to Louisville's Labor Day Weekend Festivities
Labor Day Weekend | September 4–7
The City of Louisville's Labor Day weekend events are generously sponsored by the Daily Camera.
Louisville’s 90th Annual Labor Day Celebration is here!
Join us for the community’s biggest event of the year—where friends, neighbors, and visitors come together to celebrate our town’s spirit and traditions.
Here you’ll find everything you need to plan your weekend in Louisville and make the most of this unforgettable celebration, whether you’re joining the parade, exploring the festival, or simply soaking up the fun.
To allow for a safe parade and Fall Festival, multiple roads around Downtown Louisville, Louisville Middle School, and Memory Square Park will be closed from 7 a.m.–3 p.m. on September 7.
Most notably:
Main Street will be closed from Griffith Street to Rex Street
E Lafayette Street will be closed from Main Street to Caledonia Circle
Vehicles will NOT be able to cross Main Street going east/west for the duration of the closure.
Lincoln Avenue will be the ONLY location where vehicles will be able to cross E Lafayette Street going North/South, with the exception of 10 - 11 a.m. when Lincoln Avenue will also be closed for Parade traffic.
Whether you are planning on driving to one of our events, or hoping to get out of town that day, please become familiar with the closures and make a plan ahead of time to get to your destination.

Labor Day Parade & Fall Festival
These are the two main events during Labor Day Weekend that you won't want to miss!
The Labor Day Parade can be viewed anywhere on Main Street starting at E Lafayette Street all the way to Parkview Street. People tend to arrive early to snag the best spots and set up their chairs, so time your arrival wisely!
Fall Festival is the go-to destination after the parade. Head over to Memory Square Park to shop our local vendors and artisans. This year, thanks to sponsorship from the Louisville Chamber of Commerce, attendees can grab a beer while chowing down in our beer garden.
