Welcome back, patio season! Portion of Main Street closed starting April 20 for installation

It's our favorite time of year... patio season! You can enjoy Louisville's seasonal Main Street patios from late April through early November. Main Street will stay open to vehicle traffic throughout the duration of the patio program.

Closures during patio installation

To install the patios, the City's Operations team will need to temporarily close the 600, 700, and 800 blocks of Main Street to traffic. The closures will begin on Monday, April 20 and could extend through Friday, April 24, depending on weather conditions, though it is anticipated that installation will not require all five days.

Main Street will be closed to traffic from Walnut to Spruce, Spruce to Pine, and Pine to Elm while crews install patios. Intersections at Spruce and Pine Streets will remain open for traffic to cross Main Street. For those traveling on Main Street, alternate routes via Lafarge Avenue and Front Street are advised — see map below.
