Hello Louisville Businesses!
Below is some vital information regarding parking enforcement, Holiday, and Sundance opportunities from our friends at the City:
We have some exciting things happening in Louisville this winter, and we want our local businesses to be part of the fun! From lighting up our community for the holiday season to welcoming visitors during the Sundance Film Festival, we're creating opportunities to bring people together, showcase our local businesses, and celebrate everything that makes Louisville such a special place to visit, shop, dine, and explore. We'd love for you to join us in one (or both!) of these opportunities. Illuminate Louisville: Light Up the Season! Help us make Louisville shine this winter! Illuminate Louisville is a community-wide winter light scavenger hunt designed to bring a little extra joy to the season while encouraging residents and visitors to explore our community and support local businesses. We're inviting businesses to decorate their storefronts, windows, patios, or other visible spaces with winter lights and festive décor. Whether your display is simple and sparkling or wonderfully over-the-top, we'd love to include you! Participating businesses will be featured on the City's website and included in a community scavenger hunt promoted by the City! Sign up by November 15 to be included in this year's festivities!
Sign Up for Illuminate Louisville Sundance Film Festival: Share Your Sundance Special! The Sundance Film Festival is coming to Boulder January 21–31, 2027, and we're excited about the opportunity to welcome visitors to Louisville! We're putting together a special webpage to highlight local businesses and everything our community has to offer during the Festival. Planning a special menu, promotion, event, extended hours, package, or unique experience? We want to help spread the word! Participation is free, and your Sundance Special can be as simple or creative as you'd like. The City will bring participating offers together in one convenient place, helping residents and visitors discover all the ways to eat, shop, gather, explore, and experience Louisville during Sundance. Share Your Sundance Special Let's Make It a Great Winter in Louisville! These opportunities are all about celebrating our community, supporting our local businesses, and giving residents and visitors more reasons to spend time in Louisville. Whether you participate in one or both, we're excited to work together to make this winter something special.
Thank you for everything you do to make Louisville a vibrant and welcoming community. We can't wait to see what you come up with! Please reach out to myself or Brandi with any questions! We are here to help and are excited to celebrate with yall and see what you come up with! Heads up, Louisville businesses! Parking enforcement will resume in late October. Over the past year, businesses and residents may have noticed limited enforcement of parking violations in downtown Louisville. This was due to a vacancy in the City’s code enforcement position. This week, the City welcomed Ben Kanner, our new Code Enforcement Officer with the Louisville Police Department. With this position now filled, the City will begin enforcing parking regulations again in late October. As a reminder, parking violations and penalties are outlined in Title 10 of the Louisville Municipal Code. We recommend reminding your staff and patrons to respect posted signage for parking in downtown Louisville. We've attached a flyer you can put up in your business reminding folks to check posted signage.
