More than a school. A launchpad for limitless.
Dawson has carefully crafted a hands-on, personalized learning environment. Recognized as Northern Colorado’s top private school and the state’s #2 STEM high school, Dawson consistently exceeds global college admission rates, with graduates gaining acceptance to their top-choice colleges and universities, including highly selective institutions.
Set on 107 acres with sweeping views of the Flatirons, Dawson offers a safe campus supported by an on-site security team and exceptional amenities including learning support and free after-school care. Our experienced faculty—70% of whom hold advanced degrees—create a nurturing, individualized experience with a 7:1 student-to-faculty ratio.
Students benefit from outstanding resources, including an Innovation Center with modern science labs and a fully equipped makerspace, a dedicated Arts Center with studios and a theater, and top-tier athletic facilities featuring fields, gyms, tennis courts, a weight room, a cyclocross course, and a ropes course. The indoor/outdoor Dining Commons brings the community together daily.
Experiential learning is also woven into every grade, with students spending an average of 100 hours each year learning beyond the traditional classroom. Through field trips, community service, travel, internships, labs, guest speakers, and creative projects, they develop critical thinking, confidence, and real-world skills.
Dawson provides relevant, high-quality academics at every grade level. Upper School students have access to advanced coursework across all disciplines, including the arts, as well as personalized college counseling. They also benefit from a flexible internship program that offers summer, after-school, and for-credit options during the school day. Dawson is the region’s only school offering the EntreX Lab Program™, a dual-enrollment business and entrepreneurship course that allows students to earn college credit. As a result, Dawson students report higher engagement than their peers at other top public and private schools.
